Roofing in Delespine, FL

Delespine is the river-side community at the north end of Port St. John, along Delespine Road and the streets between US-1 and the Indian River just south of the airport. It is one of the old settlements on this shore that kept its name when Port St. John was platted around it, and it was one of five communities, with Frontenac, Hardeeville, Williams Point, and part of Sharpes, that a Port St. John incorporation effort tried to include and that declined to join. The housing is older than the Port St. John grid: 1950s and 1960s block homes on the river, 1970s ranches on the side streets, and a few newer riverfront houses on lots that were rebuilt after the 2004 storms.

Riverfront roofs here take open-water wind, and the salt air reaches the fasteners. Delespine is unincorporated, so a reroof is a Brevard County permit.

This site connects Delespine homeowners with an independent local roofing contractor by phone. It does not perform the work.

Delespine roofing, by the kind of house

A 1960s river house with rust in the valleys is a roof repair. A 1990s shingle roof with a renewal letter is a roof inspection first. A roof past its life on a lot facing the lagoon is a roof replacement where metal earns a look.

Where to call in Delespine

Permits go through Brevard County. Just north, at Space Coast Regional Airport, the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum keeps a hangar of restored military aircraft, and its flying days are audible from the river streets.
